Revelation 7

Maranatha

In Revelation 7 the word shows that an action is about to take place on the earth, 4 angels that stand on the 4 corners of the earth holding the winds of the earth that they should not blow on the earth, the sea or on the trees. They are instructed by another Angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God, ” Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” Rev 7: 3
The number of those sealed were 144,000, 12,000 from each tribe listed in this order Juda, Reuben, Gad, Aser,Nepthalim, Manasses,Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zabulon, Joseph, Benjamin.

Rev 7: 9 & 10
9.After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;10. And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

Rev 7:11 & 12
11. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,12. Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Rev 7: 14-17
14.And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15.Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.16.They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.17.For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

My thoughts: This multitude are specific saints… these come out of the great tribulation (Rev 7:14). It seems to me these saints have a special place because of this, and I say this because God’s word mentions where they come from and what they will be doing from here on out in eternity. It sounds like that by being put to death during the end time tribulation, these saints of God earned a special gift from God. It brings courage and needs to be studied. If you held these promises in your heart during the time of trial, you will find courage from these scripture promises. Knowing that you will go from being murdered, watching your loved ones tortured and murdered to the presence of God where you will remain for all eternity…and God himself will wipe the tears from your eyes… Jesus will feed you and give you living waters. Endurance to the end… not loving our lives on this earth… that is the ultimate test of faith. I also wonder if the worship that begins in Rev 7: 9-12 are the result of the Maranatha cry and the Lord beginning judgements on the earth. I say that because it comes after the sealing of the Children of God in their forehead. The very next event is the opening of the 7th seal…this event causes silence in heaven for half an hour. This silence comes on the heals of praise and worship breaking out and the martyred saints coming before the throne. The verse comes to mind … Psalms 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. The tearing of the 7th seal is the beginning of the Trumpets. The cry from the earth for the Lord God’s judgement… the Maranatha cry… I’m thinking that this is what is happening before the throne in verses, Rev 8: 4. The silence in heaven seems like a reverence or a transition of the age… very significant. Perhaps because I’m still thinking fleshly, I feel like it’s everyone coming to terms with what comes next. What I feel however is not fact, so I will wait until the Lord shows me the true meaning.

Rev 8:3-6
3.And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.4.And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.5.And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.6.And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

⦁ What is the Marantha prayer? “O Lord, come” It is the cry of the children of God for his rightous judgment. This is the prayer that the Angel holds in his hand before God and then hurls to the earth to begin the sounding of the Trumpets.
