The importance of learning the word of God is that once you learn the word, the Holy Spirit will bring it to your mind whenever that verse is needed. Having the word inside of you is like having just the right tool to fix every situation right in your hand when you need it. Once you learn any particular lesson, it will stay with you forever…. it will be a never ending well of strength, comfort, instruction and help. When the word lives inside of you, the word constantly reminds you in every situation whose child you are. The word will tell you who you really are…. it will tell you how to live….it will instruct you.

The word is your well- spring of life…..but only if you learn the word. The Bible on a shelf can’t do these things for you unless you open it and study.

Knowing the word will protect you against being lead astray by every wind of doctrine. When you know what the word says, then if someone teaching false doctrine comes along, you’ll know rather quickly. You have to have the word inside of you in order to measure other teachings against God’s word.

Having the word inside of us helps us to instantly know when someone is giving a prophecy from God, because the word inside of us will tell us if it lines up or not.

Once the word is inside of you, it will never get depleted. It becomes a consistent source of knowledge and wisdom.
