Matthew 1:18-21

Luke 1:28-35

Luke 2:1-19
¹And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.² (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)³ And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.⁴ And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)⁵ To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.⁶ And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.⁷ And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.⁸ And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.⁹ And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.¹⁰ And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.¹¹ For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.¹² And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.¹³ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.¹⁵ And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.¹⁶ And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.¹⁷ And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.¹⁸ And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.¹⁹ But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

² And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

Revelation 1:16
¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
Revelation 2:12 &16
¹² And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;….¹⁶ Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Revelation 19:15 & 21
¹⁵ And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God….²¹ And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

³ And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

The Messiah, Jesus is called Israel. Knowing that God calls Jesus Israel should be a clue in itself that antisemitism goes against Jesus.

⁴ Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God.

Jesus shedding his blood and laying down his life to redeem all mankind was not in vain, and it’s not what is being spoken about in this verse. What is being spoken about is how Jesus went about the villages preaching, teaching and performing miracles and still being rejected by his own people, Israel.

⁵ And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the Lord, and my God shall be my strength.

Even with Jacob not accepting Jesus as the Son of God and savior of the world, Jesus is still glorified in the eyes of God.

⁶ And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

Redeeming Israel is only part of God’s plan, he also plans to bring salvation to the Gentiles.

I stopped right here last time then something neat happened…. I went onto Youtube and saw a new video by Mike Bickle…. which I am 46 minutes into and plan to finish after I finish this blog entery. So far in the video Mike Bickle confirmed what the Lord has been showing me in the blogs on Romans and Isaiah. While the blogs on Roman are listed as newer than this one, this is the last of the five I’m doing, I did them in this order Romans 9,10,11 Isaiah 42 and 49… what I did was copy the bible verses in these chapters and create a blog entery, then later I came back to do the study. In unity of the Holy Spirit, I’m on the same page, so to speak, as others who are coming off of this fast. The page I’m speaking of is this study…. something is happening in the body of Christ…. there is a correction of false doctrine on a large scale….almost as if…a blinder is being removed from everyones eyes. My impression and the impression of Mike Bickle is that this is a preparation for coming events.

⁷ Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

The Redeemer of Israel AND his Holy One….two parts of the Trinity…God and Jesus. Mankind dispiseth Jesus and so does his own nation Israel. Jesus came here as a man, but he was still God at the same time, and was subject to the same governance that man is, so he was subject to Kings and Rulers. The Kings and Princes of this world will worship Jesus when he returns.

⁸ Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

At the appointed time God will help Jesus to save mankind and establish a convenant with the people to eatablish the earth and inhabit even the desolate places. Jesus Christ made a new covenant with man when he died for the sins of mankind and abolished the old Mosiac contract.
Isaiah 42:6-7 ⁶ I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;⁷ To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
Matthew 26:28 ²⁸ For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Hebrews 8:6 ⁶ But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. Hebrews 9:15 ¹⁵ And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.)

⁹ That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

From my blog on Isaiah 42 (Isaiah 42:7 ⁷ To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.Jesus gives us clearness of vision into the things of God… he also healed the blind. Then, when he died, he released those who were imprisoned (Matthew 12:40, Ephesians 4: 8-10 ⁸ Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.⁹ (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?¹⁰ He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Hebrews 2: 14-15 ¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;¹⁵ And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
In addition there is another mention of prisoners being released from prison in Isaiah 49:9. These are in reference to Jesus freeing people from sheol when Christ Jesus resurrected from the dead. )
From Dakes: These prisoners are spoken of as having the Messiah as their Sheppard. He will: 1 Feed them in the way-along the paths in which He leads them (verse 9) 2 Give them pastures in high places 3 Satifsfy them so that they will never hunger or thirst (verse10) 4 Protect them from the heat of the sun 5 Lead them all their days 6 Guide them to springs of living water (verse 10 , Revelation 7:15-17 ¹⁵ Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

¹¹ And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

¹² Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

This is likely referring to the millennium when the highways will travel through Egypt and Assyria through Palestine. Sinim is not a known place, but it is in the east…perhaps China. (From Dakes)

¹³ Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.

¹⁴ But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

¹⁶ Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

This verse right here PROVES that God has never abandoned Israel, that he is not done with them and they have not been replaced. God has not forgotten Israel.

¹⁷ Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.

¹⁸ Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the Lord, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.

²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

²⁵ But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

This is a reference to the battle of Armageddon when God will deliver the captives that have been taken captive by the antichirist. Zechariah 14:1-5 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.² For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.³ Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.⁴ And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.⁵ And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

²⁶ And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
