Take note that the actual photographs of Laminin taken under a microscope look vastly different from the model diagram created to aid in studying Laminin. This model was created to give clarity to the strands, so the student is able to identify the components, but it is not a representative of what Laminin ACTUALLY looks like as the photos of actual Laminin shows. So, the diagram kind of straightens out the strands for the purpose of learning.

There is a Pastor who in an attempt to wow his listeners or blow their minds put out a video that claims that Laminin was in the shape of a cross and that this was somehow proof that God created us…or some such thing. At the end of this I’ll debunk his claim with SCIENCE, but first let me address the errors of faith.

This whole thing offends me because it assumes that God’s Word needs scientific proof of any kind at all.
Hebrews 1:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The very last thing the devil wants is for us to deeply study and pull all of our doctrine and faith from the Word…..to know who we are in Jesus because the Word declares it. I get that on the surface this “study” of Laminin seems to point to God…. but does it? From here it looks like Christians relying on the world and it’s resources to confirm their existence is from God…. something that should have been settled with Genesis 1:27…and look, that verse doesn’t need or require man to confirm it… especially when the “science” used is debunked as being applicable (see photos above)….unlike the Word of God.
Does Laminin point to God…. does it prove the Word of God?? Let me start with John 1:1-5 ¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.² The same was in the beginning with God.³ All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.⁴ In him was life; and the life was the light of men.⁵ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Jesus is the WORD OF GOD….any additions to this scripture or proofs you have as to humans being created by God is irrelevant. We need to stand on GOD’S AUTHORITY ALONE…full stop. ANY DEVIATION from the word as the authority in which we build our faith on is error.
The need for proof isn’t really the problem, though, is it….. I doubt many people in the audience the night that preacher gave that sermon were sign seeking… that audience came for the Word of God and were given a false lesson on science instead that appealed to their flesh, which they confused with the moving of the Holy Spirit. It took their eyes off of the true Word of God and put it on Science instead. What blows my mind is how many people in the comment section are defending this and are all excited about it…but it’s an ear tickle designed to train them to seek out things that create the same emotional feeling they’ve confused with the Holy Spirit. I say this because I’ve never seen such a large group of Christians completely blown away by the verses in Genesis 1:27 or John 1:1-4….which are actually taught to the body by the Holy Spirit. I’m alarmed that the Word of God doesn’t get this reaction, but a really poor science lesson does simply because the author took it upon HIMSELF to interpret science through his own bias…. he gave these things the meaning, not God….and the young Christians were taken in by it. He’s training them to find other sources outside the Word to build their faith.

I know I sound harsh, but this is important… I don’t want my fellow Christians led away and toss around with every wind of doctrine…. I don’t want to see them responding to things that tickle the ear. My desire for my fellow Christians is to see them rooted and grounded in sound doctrine found only in the Word of God. I want to see their spirits fed…not their ears tickled.

People get this idea that deception occurs suddenly….it doesn’t. Deception happens when we compromise teeny little bits. A little bit here…. and there…. and over there and here. Often we don’t even see it…. or we justify it like with this whole Laminin teaching where people think it’s ok to allow worldly science to weigh in and add to their faith…. even when they know that we are instructed to only get our faith from God’s word… and God doesn’t need science to prove who he is or what he’s done to anyone… like, as if. God doesn’t need science to vouch for him or his creation.

John 5:36-41³⁶ But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.³⁷ And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.³⁸ And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.³⁹ Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.⁴¹ I receive not honour from men.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 ⁴ And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:⁵ That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

And lastly I said I would confront the scientific problem with Laminin “theology”…
So, I listened to enough of the teaching to get the gist of what he was saying… and I’m going to paraphrase the key points he was putting forth that our bodies have Cross shaped binding blocks holding us together and this is a sign of God’s creation of man…. and his plan to redeem us… except here is the thing, Laminin proteins are also part of animals…. who are not saved and never will be as they have no eternal souls. My proof is this link.. of which the author doesn’t have a dog in this fight (pun intended) .

So, while I agree that God did create all of us…. and he knew when he did that we would require a savior to redeem us from our sins and that he would send his Son Jesus to die on a Cross for us…. these facts are not represented in or proven by the drawing created of Laminin that was made for scientist to study and isn’t an actual representation of what Laminin looks like in reality, but was done because Laminin is really random looking and needed a simplified version of it to study for better understanding.

These fraudulent stories, no matter how well intended, are the little erosion to our faith we need to look out for…we need to settle it in our hearts to make the Word the only authority on the workings and teachings of God…. and we need to stop leaning into emotionalism and calling it the moving of the Holy Spirit. In truth, the Holy Spirit moves, and we don’t feel anything… John 3:6-8 ⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.⁷ Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.⁸ The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. And when we do feel something, it’s our emotional reaction to being in the presence of God….and that is a product of our flesh not our faith.
