The Deceived Church

I’m working on my new journal and getting all caught up to where I am here on my online journal already…including printing off what I’ve studied here and adding it to the new physical copy….and I’m also taking a deeper look at everything starting in Matthew 24. I finished off yesterday in Matthew 24: 7-12… wrote the following on verse 11 “11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
A false prophet is someone who gives a message as though it were a message from God when it isn’t.  False teachers who teach doctrines that aren’t found in the Word of God, but also false teachers who alter the meanings of the Word for self-serving purposes. At one time I thought the evil people who were going to be ushering in the wickedness that blankets the earth in the end times would all know they are doing the work of the devil…. but now I believe that the people who are going to be actors in this wickedness are deceived people who are giving the enemy space to work through them…like they will be completely deceived into believing they are right. John 16:2 “They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.”  These people doing the killing aren’t worldly people, they’re religious people…. deceived , religious people. They didn’t want the believer coming in to their religious services changing things….because they were so sure they were the righteous and the followers of Jesus were the ones who were wrong.  This is always going on… but in the end it’ll get worse. Right now, the biggest issue the sinful world has with Christians is they stand against sin… they call homosexuality a sin, they call abortion a murder of an innocent child, they call sex outside of marriage a sin, they call drinking a sin…. and this brings shame on those who want to live their life the way they want to live it. SO… their solution was to create a false Christ who accepts everyone just like they are with no requirement to repent or turn from their sinfulness. Their false Christ is all about love and acceptance no matter what you’re doing.  These people view the real Jesus Christ and his followers as being too judgmental …so we have become the enemy. People are flocking to this idea of a Jesus who allows you to do it your way and is just there to love you. Jesus does love everyone, but accepting someone who is murdering babies and committing sins without requiring them to repent isn’t love…it’s enablement.”
Jesus will never enable sin.
Right after bible study yesterday I went on to youtube to look at videos and ended up clicking on one that peeked my interest…I’d never seen the term “seeker sensitive” before. Here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rXnF5dkZbM Confessions of an Ex Seeker-Driven Preacher | Costi Hinn & Anthony Wood
Costi Hinn is the nephew of Benny Hinn who departed from the prosperity gospel in 2012 and is quoted as saying “I wept bitterly over my participation in greedy ministry manipulation and my life of false teaching and beliefs” I included this part because when I saw the HINN name I nearly skipped the teaching without listening to it. Thank God I didn’t skip it because the lesson in the video is giving greater light to the verses I was and am studying about the end time deceived church.
This verse about the end time deception always troubled me deeply:
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
That last part….“If it were possible, they shall deceived the very elect” is particularly troubling because it denotes a deception that is so well done only those who are very elect or another way of saying it very close and devout…and yet another way to say it is a very careful Christian who is deeply invested in their walk with God are going to escape this deception. Now there is a belief that leads people to believe they just need to have faith in Jesus, and then they go on to attribute their sincere desire as a show of their faith…. HOWEVER…. that is a deception too. “James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” The VERY ELECT are the ones who have taken the time to truly study the word and learn about the very nature of our sovereign God and father. One of the first things is to count the cost of salvation Luke 14:28-30 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,” Salvation is not simply saying a prayer to receive Jesus… it’s REPENTANCE FOR SIN…a surrendering of our will and life to Jesus. We MUST reject the sinfulness, turn from it and ask for forgiveness…. this is MANDATORY…it’s part of the cost of salvation…and we must walk in this repentance. Luke 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
EVERY DAY we have to make this choice. Don’t confuse this by considering refraining from willfully sinning as “works” to gain salvation…it’s not, it’s the daily CHOICE to follow Jesus and allow him to wash away your sins and impart his righteousness to you….an undeserving sinner. My choice to reject a sinful lifestyle isn’t me working to earn salvation… it’s me CHOOSING to follow Jesus instead, knowing full well my sinful nature needs the blood of Jesus to cleanse me from my sin.

So…how is this seeker church who accepts Jesus ending up being the deceived lost?

Because they teach that all you have to do is accept Jesus…. there is no repentance required…let me say that when you aren’t repententing of sin, you aren’t receiving the washing in the blood of Jesus which had the power to save the soul. I write this and remember the footwashing of the disciples… Peter tried to resist “John 13:8  Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.” The footwashing was a picture of the redemptive washing in the blood of Jesus which is able to save the soul. Peter was a disciple…and unless he was willing to submit himself to Jesus to have his feet washed… Jesus said clearly “Thou hast no part with me.”
So how can we consider someone saved if they receive Jesus, but never repent and if you never repent you are never washed in the blood….and if you are never washed in the blood…you are not save and have no part on Jesus. The blood of Jesus is the power of God unto salvation. Hebrews 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
So, if another gospel is preached that leaves off the part where a person repents so they can be washed in the blood , that gospel has no power of salvation.

2 Timothy 3
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

The word perilous means FIERCE.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

We see this playing out openly right now.

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Anyone who calls out sin right now is considered a bad guy for shaming others. I’m not claiming here we are in the end times, just that we’re already seeing this dangerous move towards persecution of Christians standing for the Word and preaching the TRUE Gospel message that does confront sin and calls people to repent and be washed in the blood of Jesus.

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

The religious trend now is to spread an all-inclusive message that is self focused and teaches people that Jesus loves them and doesn’t require anything of them to be saved…. no repenting or submitting. This of course denies the power of salvation from sins. It excludes the blood of Jesus.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

If it were possible, the deception would deceive the very elect of God…because it parrots the right verses of the Bible… it says a lot of the same things as the authentic Christian doctrines…but it’s watered down and it EXCLUDES the requirement of asking Jesus to wash away our sin because it doesn’t require people to confess sin or turn away from sin… they receive a “form” of Jesus… but this rendition excludes the redemption the real Jesus provided when he died for our sins and shed his blood. This new false Jesus…. he gets you… he accepts you where you are and doesn’t want to change a thing about you…he’s your buddy, he’s your pal… but he’s not your Savior because Hebrews 9:22 says, “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.”

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Another thing left off with the watered down religion… Living Godly.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

THIS IS THE KEY TO NOT BEING LEAD INTO DECEPTION- The Scripture…. knowing the scriptures will make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED… you must spend time learning the word of God. There is a kind of idea some Christian groups have that they can live by following the Holy Spirit and while they know they should know the word… and they may read it, they don’t commit to deep study of the Word and instead consider themselves led by the Holy Spirit. Here is the thing though…. the Holy Spirit ALWAYS leads you to deeply study the Word…and that’s a discipline we have to commit too. Most often those who aren’t knowledgeable in the Word and haven’t embraced the Word to walk in it ,are still walking in the flesh and confusing “feelings” for the leading of the Holy Spirit. IF we want to be led by the Holy Spirit we have to commit ourselves to know the Word of God. Our flesh is going to resist and the wicked one is going to give us every excuse in the world to keep us from deeply learning the word of God. Whenever I hear someone who claims to hear from God, but the person doesn’t know the scriptures…I’m dubious. There are spiritual gifts given to people by God… but those gifts are developed through maturity by being faithful with the parts you do have. Everyone wants to skip College and go straight to the part where they are awarded their Doctored. It doesn’t work that way… not even with God… as much as people want to believe that they are suddenly imparted with all the gifts instantly, this is not how God does things. The Bible says we are to study the word …visit this link here for a deep dive on the words instruction to study the word… https://www.openbible.info/topics/studying_the_bible.
When I became a Christian the Lord gave me a gift with the word….I didn’t know at the time, just that I had this intense hunger for the word. I would read so fast that the Holy Spirit would prompt my mind to slow down and consider the wisdom that was being imparted… I’d feel this wisdom being imparted and it was so amazing I wouldn’t slow down… I’d get so excited I’d maybe even go faster with my reading. I wish I had listened to the Holy Spirit prompting to slow down and chew my food though, I was a hungry little baby :). I am so grateful to my father God for this gift… he blesses my soul so much. In order for this gift to manifest and develop into a usable tool to use in my studies *I* had to commit to it… the gift was there, but I actually had to read the word myself for it to manifest in my life. The word was never going to supernaturally appear in my spirit… like God was not simply going to download the Bible inside of my heart… I had to read the word, I had to study the word, I had to submit to God and pray for understanding.
Being lead by the Holy Spirit is like this too… Until you read the word of God… like you are visiting with God having a conversation where you shut up and he speaks… and you end up knowing the very nature of our father God… of His glorious son Jesus… of the movings of the Holy Spirit…THREW THE READING OF THE WORD… you really can’t expect to be lead by the Holy Spirit… even though you have the Holy Spirit inside of you. In order to know the difference between your own “feelings” and the leading of the Holy Spirit, you have to invest yourself into learning about God. We developing an intimate relationship with God through the word. If we want our lives to reflect Jesus, we need to get the WORD of God inside of us… because Jesus is the Word. He gives us the seeds to plant, but if we can’t be bothered to plant them and tend the garden we shouldn’t expect a harvest. If we want to move out in the supernatural manifestation of God and can’t even be bothered to know God through the diligent pursuit of his word, we are deceiving ourselves.

These are all things we need to survive the end times…. we need the word of God to be the truth we follow, so we need to be about studying the word… line upon line. WE need the guidance of the Holy Spirit… so we need to be about learning the very nature of God and how the Holy Spirit moves BY READING THE WORD…. we need to understand the sovereign nature of God. We need oil for our lamps because a time of darkness is coming and only those who have this oil will have the light of God to follow. You can find this oil in the Word. Humble…stay humble.
